My first garden!

I can't wait either! Even better news.... IT'S SUNNNNNYYYYYYY!!!

Update on the lawn (2 days since being laid): it's predominantly green with some yellowiness to it (thatch), the lawn has settled to the ground properly and the joins between the rolls of turf are not visible from ground level. hoorah!

Update

Looked at the lawn while it was sunny. It looks much better when I'm stood further away

It started raining again. I still haven't had the opportunity to usefully test my new hosepipe.

Went to my Aunt's house who gave me 6 plants. 2 Gooseberry bushes, 2 self seeded Buddlheia and 2 other thingydoodahs!

Squeezed a slug by accident while lifting a plant pot.

Picked several slugs out of the boot of my car.

Arranged for a new (bigger) skip to be delivered tomorrow.

Arranged for my cold frame to be collected, for replacement, tomorrow.

 

Ooooh, thingydoodahs... my favourite!

I'll snap some pics and upload them tonight. I'm going to see if the sun holds out for a bit and then I'll be clearing the rest of the garden.
