      Aloha everyone,

It's another very Bouncability day

I'll be taking Mrs Shiney to the station shortly as she's off to The Palace. I'm staying home to work on the greenhouse repairing the roof.

I've also got to pop into town to have my ears tested - don't think there's anything wrong with them but it's a free test that Boots are offering.

@Beckie76 Sorry, but my mind works in a peculiar way when I see those words in the same sentence! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Keep well and have a great day

      Aloha!

            Morning Moyra,
Just phone up Boots and say that you 'heard' :heehee: they do free hearing tests for senior citizens. Apparently it only takes 15 minutes.

              Morning all :spinning:

A beautiful sunny day here. :spinning:

No.1 son is coming today, with Sam G.son, so popped out quick this
morning to do shopping, and whip round the market.

Renewed the lottery, won £25 last month.

Well, hope everyone is feeling good and has a good day.

Forget yesterday, it's already forgotten you. Don't sweat tomorrow - you
haven't even met. instead open your eyes and your heart to a truly
              precious gift - today. :imphrt:

                    Aloha everyone,

@wiseowl I have my Bouncability going strong this morning but am bouncing gently on the bad foot :) as some of the skin has come away and it's a bit raw . A good soak in the shower and a new dressing on it with special Mrs Shiney cream will work wonders. I shan't 'take care' as mummy always told me not to take things :heehee: - but I shall be careful out there

Mrs Shiney was a bit disappointed at The Palace. We've been there a number of times but this time there was also a guided tour of the gardens. Unfortunately the herbaceous border was out of bounds because of construction works. That's the main attraction in the garden at this time of year . She wasn't really interested in which tree was planted by which Royal or dignitary.

We have seen the garden already so it wasn't too much of a disappointment. We were there a number of years ago as guests, when the Palace was open for a Staff day, and spent a couple of hours wandering, and sitting, in the garden.

The greenhouse is now fixed (on one side) thanks to the help of my friend Eddie. I worked as his gofer  Eddie also took us to and from the airport for our holiday. so we owe him and his wife a few dinners :). We've already taken them out once and are taking them to Milsoms for Sunday lunch tomorrow. That's in Dedham (Constable country) on the Suffolk/Essex border. It's only about an hour away if the roads are OK.

Hearing test was interesting. I got there for my appointment a little early and sat in the waiting area. When the man was ready for me he came out and called me in to his treatment room. When I sat down I asked him if I had passed the test. When he looked blank I said "Well, I heard you ask me to come in!" :loll: (don't you just hate people like that?).

It didn't take long. A few questions about general health and about my hearing. I told him that I had no real problem with my hearing but have had mild tinnitus for 50 years. I also told him that my hearing used to be very acute but I have noticed a reduction in that, and that I've always had a sensitivity to loud noise (I even have to use ear plugs in the cinema!).

The test itself only took a few minutes in a soundproof room with earphones in. He then generates different frequency of sounds that get weaker and I had to press a button when I heard them. There were many sounds to listen to as he starts on fairly quiet anyway. There were about four or five at each frequency. I don't know how many because he obviously kept going until I couldn't hear them.

Result: "Acute hearing has reduced to 'normal' hearing for a young person. The high frequency sounds are slightly impaired but all older people have that problem."

Next appointment in two year's time.

                    Have a great day

                    Aloha!

                          Morning all :spinning:

Hope you are all raring to go. Me, well no, :noidea: not feeling so bright, :dunno:
depression has been bad this week, I know things are not good as my hair
has started falling out again. :help:

Saturday again, so got the car to fill for Sunday, the weather is set fair, so that
                          helps.

It was lovely to see my family yesterday, my grandson Sam has shot up, I only
get to see him every couple of months, and you soon notice the differences.

We baked a rocky road traybake, lots of little marshmallows, biscuits, chocolate
chips and gold sprinkles, we are both lovers of licking the spoon :heehee: The cake
                          soon disappeared.

                          Well, make it good today.

'Isn't it funny how day by day nothing changes, but when you look back,
                          everything is different'? CSL
