banana plan

I have had my banana plant for a few weeks now and its still quite small. when i planted it , it had nice lush green leaves but since then the wind have gave it a little battering, now the leaves are all a faded green / light yellow . Any tips on getting it to peak up? I will add picture tomorrow so that you can see and advise

 

Id give it a feed and make sure it has plenty water. One of mine is indoors and gets watered daily because its about 12ft tall and in a stupidly small pot. Leaves are perfect but i am troubled with red spider mite.
The outdoor one is much smaller but is left alone as its roots are in the bog garden. So plenty feed and water needed.
Dont waterlog it though.

 

Feed a high nitrogen feed once a week and plenty of water

 

so i can water hard every day as long as the soil is free draining?

i would love to post a picture now, as i love my pictures but i'm stuck at work till midnight! As soon as i wake tomorrow i will be snapping a pic so that you can all see

 

After the good soaking I gave them yesterday it looks loads better today

 

Looks fine too me, it's just settling in keep giving plenty of water

 

Yep, just wondering if it will be big enough to survive the winter.?

It also appears to be in a raised bed.

What are the implications?

 

My thoughts are that in a bad winter frost will creep into the root area easier.
Its basically similar to growing in a large pot.

 

Ahh yes, makes sense. On the upside, wouldn't it also make it drier?
