Thank you Sheal, I've been playing this afternoon with the new lens as the sun came out (I think it was with you most of the day :)), its just brilliant and I think I'm understanding my camera a little more now. There were so many butterflies today but they are so nervous I envy people who take good photos of them... no sooner did I zoom them in they were gone!

It's difficult to guess without seeing the whole plant but the flower looks like Crocosmia but I wouldn't consider that to be big and bushy. :)

Thank you Woo, we were very lucky with the weather and the sun rises were just breath taking, unfortunately I didn't take my Lumix camera so they were only taken with my IPhone.

You're welcome Apple Blossom. :) I've been trying to get rid of Crocosmia for years, like many other plants, once you've got it - it's difficult to get rid of.

Really, that's interesting, I don't mind having it where it is but wouldn't want it all over the garden so hoping that it does spread?

                          Hi Apple Blossom,

Your photos are fantastic and your garden looks stunning.
Keep up all the good work :)

PS.... I love Crocosmia ( Montbretia ). It's one of the bulbs I'm looking out for over the next few months.
