Trees very close!

    Yes, the roots will have mingled with each other but probably not twisted together. If you have to cut some roots to free the trees don't worry to much but cut them as far away from the main stem/trunk as possible.

    The trees are only young so should transplant fairly easily. Acers are beautiful during the autumn so are well worth hanging on to. Unfortunately they won't survive in my present garden, it's to windy being in a coastal position.
