    Hi Everyone,

Just come back from an RSPCA centre - went to meet Alfie the cat. :cat-kittyandsmiley:

    Here are some piccy's.

He's had a tough life so far - but all that it about to change this Saturday when we pick him up and take him home.

He's not 'purr'fect - no tail, one eye, totally deaf and with a heart murmur - which he more than makes up for with his big personality. I was fussing him too much - he simply pushed me away with his paw (no claws) - that tells me all I need to know about him.

We can't decide if we want to change his name - but in the end it doesn't really matter what we call him - as he can't hear us!

He will obviously be an indoor cat - so he'll just have to spend his time lounging about in the conservatory :snooze:- lucky devil.

Aww he's a handsome boy isn't he? He looks like he deserves a lovely home after having a rough start in life. It won't be long and he'll be ruling the roost! ;)

:cat-kittyandsmiley: Ah, caught my heart here. We brought two white cats to Portugal in 2001, brother and sister now sadly over the rainbow aged 13 and 15 years.

I know you will give Alfie a wonderful home and life which he rightly deserves. I have a 20 year old arthritic cat who is totally deaf ... good job as he can't hear t'other half snoring for Portugal at the moment ... but it is t'other half's birthday and he's had a bit to drink ... :thud:

Maybe a Mod can move this to our Pet's Corner. :cat-kittyandsmiley:

            Brilliant clanless :blue thumb:

So many people overlook the 'broken' ones, but they are so rewarding and you do build a special bond with them because they rely on you that much more.

Thanks everyone. Picking up Alfie in a couple of hours. Purchased his bed yesterday - looks more comfortable than mine.

Well, just arrived home - he slept on the journey back and is now kipping in the conservatory. It's a tough life being a cat

Thanks everyone for your kind comments - I've let Alfie know ;).

He's only been here a day or so and has already settled down - although he did start shouting loudly at 4.30 this morning - he had scoffed all his food.

He may not be totally deaf - I've been playing around with a sound generator on my mobile 'phone - he seems to respond to the higher frequencies.

I'm not sure who's having more fun - me or him :snork:.
