I'm glad you've discovered Fuchsias. As you've found out you can grow them as foliage plants as well as for their flowers.

As for colour, name any colour except for a true blue and there's one that will fit, however, there are a couple of species that have blue pollen.

I really need to learn how to spell fuchsia without reading how somebody else has spelt it

The Tom West Fuchsia I've got has really nice red foliage. I didn't know it was a fuchsia until I read the label.

ANY COLOUR? Ok after googling it I'm pretty surprised! How have I never seen these other colours?? oh.... pssssst I couldn't find any grey fuchsias...

The reason I ask is ... that it is a New Zealand plant which has similar weather to the UK.. I've found a site that sells them in seed form??

Hi Apple Blossom,

Yeah it's a species called Fuchsia Procumbens.

It's hardy over here and is usually grown on a rockery as it only grows about 2" high but can spread around 5 or 6' once established. As well as the flower it has lovely fruit shaped like little fruit.

Post no 294 on July 19th there's a pic of mine, showing the flower as well as some unripe fruit.

 

Means being a little too fussy Lol
