Yesterday reached a rather uncomfortable hot and sticky 84.7F (29.3C) with the forecast being hotter today! Humidity currently 97% :hate-shocked:

Yesterday was a cloudy start but the sun burst through later giving us a lovely afternoon and evening. It's looking like more of the same today.

It's cloudy and 17.1C. The humidity is 81%. We've got a severe weather warning here for later this afternoon. We've been warned about thunderstorms, strong gusts, lightning, hail and flooding. Oh the joys of the British weather.....my plants are already flattened from the last deluge. :snork:

Pleasantly warm and breezy but cloud bubbling up, max 21c, no sign of any 'hot' weather here.

Here in London it is a scorching 31oC! [IMG]

I heeded the forecast and so have only been out this morning for a quick food shop. Even then I daren't risk going where I intended to (further away) and dumbed down to the local shops. I took some chilled water with ice cubes and a chilled water face spray - both badly needed!

I guess being elderly now (and overweight) very hot weather takes on a more worrying/menacing aspect. Elderly people do die in hot weather!

Currently I am typing in a room with an opened window that has a wet towel draped over it (called egyptian air conditioning)! Also a fan going.

@maria That's not showing off. That's meltingly hot and unpleasant :phew:

As young @rosebay says, hot weather can be more worrying when you're older. :old:

Showing off is: I'm sitting here in the air-conditioning and eating an ice cream! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

You don't need to worry, your weather will be good in a couple of week's time. That's Shiney Magic time. :blue thumb:

Its only a cool 29 here, not a cloud in sight, bit breezy.

I'm sitting in the conservatory sweating, because my lap top cable is too short to get me out side.
And I haven't got an icecream.

Well I'm still waiting for the heavy rain, thunder, strong gusts, lightning and hail. :rolleyespink: Hopefully it's missed us as it's sunny outside although thankfully not as hot as it is for some. We did have some rain earlier on but it's nowhere near as bad as expected.

A day of changing weather today.:dunno: This morning the skies were dull and cloudy but it stayed dry and humid. Then in the afternoon the Sun managed to drive away some of the clouds and showed itself for a while, but then big black clouds appeared from the West and the Sun disappeared. I was sitting out on the patio with Sally, the Cat, on my knee when it started to thunder overhead making Sally shoot into the Kitchen out of the way!! Within minutes the rain arrived in large heavy drops and heavy showers, so I retreated into the Kitchen too:heehee: I left the Kitchen door open as Jenny, the other Cat, was still out in the garden somewhere in the heavy rain. She came hurtling in after a few moments deciding that the House was a better prospect than getting wet.:cat-kittyandsmiley::snork: So it's Thundering and raining heavily at the moment with an outside temperature of 70f and a pressure reading of 1025mbs.:coffee::snork:
