Went to the Dunsfold Wings and Wheels yesterday, fantastic airshow with the iconic Vulcan as the main star.

See the Vulcan near you if you can, there's only going to be seven more flights before its grounded for ever at the end of September:

I wish they'd do a fund raising raffle for a flight in it. We paid for our daughter's name to be put on a mini plaque inside the bomb bay, but getting to go up in it would be amazing.

I'd prefer to be in the cockpit.
Cant think the bomb bay would be that comfortable.:snork:

Sad to see it go, finally.

Next best thing, there was a raffle to win a fast taxy ride - closing date just past:

Lovely photos JWK,such a shame that we are not going to be able to see it again in its final year but we were so lucky to see it the other month when it flew round our villGe with the blades and then we had that personal display for free as it flew round Sywell Aerodrome so we can't complain:biggrin:

Thanks for sharing your day with us:smile:

You never hear about the good ol' Armstrong Siddeley Argosy, my first aircraft after leaving R.A.F. Halton in 66!

                      Cheers, Tony.

Called among other things - the flying wheelbarrow, the whistling t*t or 4 thousand 'pip pins' flying in close formation! The hottest job I have ever been on was checking on the A.A.P.U. on the pan at Barhain in summer!

                          Cheers, Tony.

Great show looking at the photos. I have seen the Vulcan a few times, always a show stopper will be such a shame to loose it. Mostly due to lack of funding so I'm told.

Crikey! I cycled through Weston Turville, past RAF Halton, then on to Wendover and back home in 1966 on my trusty bike that I used to ride to school on. It was a red Dawes and had a black saddle bag, did you see me go past?
