@moyra The trouble is, that I don't know I'm overdoing it until I've overdone it! :heehee:

      Good morning my friends :hapydancsmil:,
Sorry to hear about your foot @shiney, I hope after some rest today you will be back up & running tomorrow.
@moyra you are quite right it's chilly this morning but it's dry which is nice :dbgrtmb:, my garden is saturated, but the lawn is as lush as can be :dbgrtmb:.
@wiseowl great photo of this mornings sunrise :blue thumb:, best part of the day in my opinion.
A busy day at work for me today, I'm looking forward to the weekend, I still have some tulip bulbs to finish planting :hapydancsmil:.
      Enjoy your day folks :hapfeet:.

A lovely sunny good morning to all. I am a bit late posting this morning, the sun was shining so Bailey and I went out for our walk before breakfast. Ready for a cuppa and a sit down now before planting out some Violas into baskets and pots with my OH.
Have a good day all (weather permitting).

          Good Morning Everyone :)

Like you @lykewakewalker I've just returned from walking Tess :doggieshmooze:, the sun was out and such a beautiful morning alas, the clouds have appeared now so I'm hoping that it will stay dry today as I have so much to do.... so hoping for some of @wiseowl Zebbidy Springiness to get it all done. Lovely sunrise photo again Woo

I have two days off, in at 5.00am until 2.30pm on Saturday and off Sunday so hopefully everything I have planned gets done :yahoo:

I had a lovely surprise from the local garden centre yesterday.... an envelope with £80 worth of vouchers :hapydancsmil: from using my loyalty card which is going to be really useful for the plants around the pond which, weather permitting, can also be finished. Mr AB is still trying to work out how much I have spent to be awarded so many vouchers :heehee:

This afternoon I'm going to the Village Hall to find out a bit more about a monthly ladies meeting, since moving and especially where I live it's been difficult to meet new people and friends and I think this is a great way to start new friendships. I've looked through what they do during the year and it all sounds very exciting... lots of charity work and group meetings for painting, photography, baking, walking etc. etc...... sounds just lovely.:imphrt:

Well tea and toast finished so I'm off out now to get started...

Have a lovely day everyone :spinning:

Good Afternoon everyone, Looks like we are in for a downpour a minute, the heavens have gone dark. I took Amber out at midday but apart from a pee she never did anything except chase after her ball, now she is asking to go out again. I have told her to go out on the patio for now. I will take her out after 4pm whether raining or not but she cannot pick and choose when she goes out. Steve is supposed to return from his fishing late afternoon, early evening.

I hope everyone has had a good afternoon, God bless all.:wub2:

                Afternoon all,:spinning:

Well, the day out to Newbury really knackered my back, when we got home, I had
to rest and take it easy, so not much got done in the afternoon. Still, at least that is
it to Newbury for a few weeks. I needed to have new codes for my cards, but I now
have to go back to Newbury to the Santander cashpoint to activate the cards :mute: why
I cannot do it where I live, beats me. :noidea:

I decided to have a lie-in today, OH was kicked out of bed:heehee: and I rested until 9 a.m.:snooze:

Caught up with a few letters, freebies, Birds Eye have some 'Try Me Free' fish fingers,
cancel my knitting subscription, I am now taking up how to crochet. And a letter of
complaint. I also rang Van Meuwens for a replacement for my Aubretia, they were
practically dead when they arrived. 'New plugs will be sent out Madam', young Oliver
said. Just have to write to my husband's sister and my email pen pal in Ireland.

It's all go. :thud::phew: Started clearing the bed underneath the garage windows, want
to have it ready for overwintering my plants that I will sell at boot sales next Spring.

I only hope the weather picks up in September to make up for the :mute::mute::mute::mute: we
                have had this year. :)

Well hope all is OK with all GC gardeners, and their gardens.

I have still an order outstanding from T &M and think I should cancel it now, it is for night scented stocks and they were supposed to be here by the end of August! Anyone any thoughts on this?

Phone or email them and say you want your money back - now! They may offer to rush them out to you but don't accept the offer.

Stocks should be planted much earlier and should be blooming by now! According to their website they should be planted from March to June. It's too late now - particularly as the weather is turning.

                        Aloha Woo and everyone,

A touch nippy here as well but it warmed up a bit in the night. At 11 p.m. it was 47F and by 2 a.m. it was 50F. Now it has soared to 52F. :blue thumb:

That was my first reaction. :snork:

We haven't spent that much (£80) on plants in years :). Mrs Shiney propagates all ours and we sell over 1,000 plants at our Open Day. :blue thumb: They come either from our garden, from gifts from friends or taken as cuttings from all over the place (she always knocks on people's doors and asks them if she sees something she likes and no one has ever refused :dbgrtmb:).

Keep well and have a great day

                        Aloha!

                          Good Morning all,

Not very warm this morning. I have a Doctors appointment just after 9 so better get my skates on and get Amber walked.

Have a good day all, God bless. :wub2:

                            Morning all:spinning:

Bit chilly here as well, will have to start wearing my cardigan, arms are getting
goosebumps. :noidea: Also light drizzle as well, but that is forecast to desist soon.:blue thumb:

Nothing exciting this morning, market day, so shall have a wander round there, the
vegetable stall lets me have their blue trays, I need a few more, some of my old
ones are getting brittle, also I need some to start bringing plants into the conservatory
when it gets a bit chillier. Though the forecast for the coming week appears to be
                            getting warm again:yes:

Well, I hope all your aches and pains and not so bad. Just took my daily cocktail
of painkillers, just in time as my sciatica is creeping down my left leg.

:dbgrtmb:Good Morning :spinning: I hope everyone is well this morning :)

Walking Tess this morning and the autumn colours are all creeping in and the forest is starting to look very colourful and I agree @liliana there was a nip in the air this morning but much warmer now. Hope your cocktail has started to deplete your sciatica pain :)

:lunapic 130165696578242 5: not all spent on plants Shiney :heehee:

Having lived on a farm for 12 years and 5 years in Spain we didn't even have as much as a spade or fork... so some of the costs was on garden tools, baskets, peat, a lot of Roundup!! Patio containers, garden lights etc. etc. and no doubt quiet a bit on plants and flowers.

The vouchers are going to very good use as I've already put my list together for my pond area and at the moment they have a great offer on Caledonian stones, so I've worked out how many bags I need, some interesting boulders and slate for a waterfall and the rest on plants so in effect I will have no outlay!! to finish it off :yahoo: as long as I don't stray off and see something else :heehee:

The one thing I miss about North Wales is the availability of free stones, boulder etc. just by visiting the right place and slate in abundance where as here.... its all wood

Mr & Mrs Shiney's open day...... sounds very interesting... :)

The ladies meeting yesterday was very friendly, they had a photography speaker and I gained a lot of hints and tips... I can visit once more and then decide if I want to become a member, I can't believe how much they do, I've been given a diary of events... all very interesting :dbgrtmb:

Enjoy your day everyone .... :spinning:
