Many shots to upload, doing a few now and a few more each day. LOTS of shots. And I did delete many. This is with my new camera.
Starts with Mendenhall Glazer, then we went to a location where there were lots of waterfalls, and other glazers and floating icebergs. In the pic with the ship, my cabin was on the top floor , 2nd door down.

Maybe the photo is too large? (file size)

How are you trying to upload them?

The normal ways are either using the 'Upload a File' at the bottom of the screen, 'drag and drop' directly from your photos on your computer or through a server such as 'Photobucket'.

If your camera is set on high definition (quite a few MB per photo) you will have to reduce the file size (MB per photo) before uploading.

Nowadays I just 'drag and drop' as none of my photos are over 2MB each. The GC software can cope with that size and reduce it automatically.

I tried the upload file thing, that did not work. have not uploaded any to photobucket (there are a lot, so many. Have not tried the drag and drop. will try later. So are you saying I have to reduce the size with the camera or something else? this is my new camera and I don't want to screw up any of these shots of Alaska, trip cost too much to risk it. Will try later the drag and drop.

You probably have some software on your computer that can reduce the file size. If you save the photos on a programme it almost certainly has the capability to do it.

The best/safest way to use it is to make anew folder in the programme, then copy the photos that you want to post on here and paste them into the new folder. The originals will still be in their original place. Then only work on the copies in the new folder. You can then reduce the file size of those copies.

I think it much easier to start a new album on Photobucket, put the pics there, and then provide a link to that abum on here.
But then, I might be talking rubbish.

thanks. So far up to over 53 photos I have weeded through and put on facebook. so it will be that again and more to upload to photobucket. And I picked the best, did a lot of culling on board with the camera, but these are really grand (I think). Sorry, will do my best.
