Interesting. I think it is based on distrust/suspicion that what he is offering must be faulty. I might have asked a few more questions and hesitated....maybe watch to see other people's reactions. I think I would risk taking the silver. It reminded me of someone who tried to give away paper money but people would not readily take it...suspecting something must be wrong. I think it might be natural to be suspicious given that the situation is highly unusual.
I would of taken the silver bar anyway whether i thought it was real or not because i dont like that hersheys chocolate bar So would be useless too me Now of they had a herseys cookies and cream bar instead i might be more swayed
I don't think they knew what the silver bar was worth or what to do with it. I'd have taken the silver rather than chocolate.
