If the second hand car sales man could be dragged through the media for saying its a wonderful car, when he knows its rubbish, and then lose his job it would be similar.

    But it aint.

There are a lot of very over sensitive people out there these days that get upset if you say one thing out of place, so being a politician that just answers a question with ghobbledegoop, is mostly down to how easy it is to "horrify" or even "devistate" people these days.

Really? Clearly you don't listen to LBC then. The phone ins abound with those who support him.

Professional commentators misjudged him in the first place if you recall i.e. not rating his chances. Ha!!

          Just playing with statistics:-

At the last general election approx. 30 million people turned out to vote (out of about 46m eligible to vote).
Corbyn got a quarter of a million votes the other day.
That was 60% of those that voted.
He's got a long way to go to win a General Election.

          "Lies, damn lies and statistics."

What's LBC???:doh: Now if you're going to say Leading Britain's Conversation Radio then it's mostly a London focused Radio........so that's a narrow band of focus and that is seemingly where Corbyn is focusing his time and attention. It's also obvious, surely, that in the initial excitement, furore, and palaver that that the majority section of callers is going to be his frenetic supporters. He will have to make the decision to give interviews to other Media and take the brunt of criticism and hard questioning that will happen.:coffee:

You appear to have misunderstood what I said and I thought I was quite clear.
My actual words, as you've quoted them, were:-

"He's alienated most of the media (radio in particular) by refusing to give interviews..."

I was talking about the media, including radio, and it was actually on LBC that the award winning presenter Nick Ferrari said that Corbyn has continually refused to appear on LBC!

I, obviously, listen to LBC (other radio stations are available :heehee:) but you seem to have ignored my words for an interpretation of your own. Of course phone ins abound with supporters as well as people that oppose his views.

Have u noticed how our so called respected mass media have got their knives out for Corbyn before hes even come up with the new policies going forwrd.
Going up against Nato, the US, UK secret services and the city and the poor sod will end up taking a one way walk like Robin Cook did.

I agree with you, Tam, but some of the Media have political agendas and so will take every opportunity to damage, harass, and pursue any new "celebrity" to make news. One of the most recent instances, to me, is the damage and hurt the Media did to Mo Farah. You couldn't help but notice that during the "Drugs in Sports" frenzy his name was brought up time and time again without specifically implying his involvement and then the Media excusing themselves by saying that there was no evidence of his guilt.........but the repeated mentioning of his name over time was as Mo said "killing" him.:coffee:
