                    I Used to train in the in the Gym,I met Sir Henry Cooper. Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier and Sugar Ray Leonard sparred there when they were preparing for bouts in Britain on the second floor of the Thomas a Becket ,;)

                      They did, but they moved into a disused pub for some time. I don't know which one but it was thought to be 'The Duke'. :noidea:

                        :love30: Oh @wiseowl what wouldn't I have given to meet my all time sporting hero Ali. I remember disobeying my parents (" it's on far too late and you have school tomorrow") and listening to his 1st fight with Sony Liston on a tiny transistor radio underneath my bedcovers as it was in the early hours of the morning uk time from memory.
                        I did meet "our Enerie" once when he was opening a supermarket for the company my father worked for. He was really nice to me and I had my photo taken with him "punching" my stomach. Unfortunately the photo has been lost in the mists of time as it would be nice to have still got it.
