                Ever hopeful

He's not our cat! Just spends most of his time in our garden and greenhouse - maybe because Mrs Shiney gives him lots of cuddles :cat-kittyandsmiley:

I have a visitor to my garden every now and again. Silverpuss (just a baby).
He came into the house last time, had some water, and a few cuddles :)
I miss my two loveable rogues

Sorry to hear you are still mourning the loss of your companions @Northants geezer as we have just had to let our Poppy go last Thursday as her quality of life was such that it was no longer fair to try and keep her going:cry3:

The only good part about it is that we are now able to get some sleep at bedtime because the last few months we have spent many a sleepless night caring for her needs throughout our sleep time:sad:

I'm sorry to hear about Poppy - Kandy, it's always a difficult decision to make but there comes a time when it's kinder to let our furry friends rest.

image.jpg :cry3::cry3:Thanks Sheal for your kind words:blue thumb:I added a piece on the end of my post in show off your pets about her passing.Once she had stopped taking her meds and her quality of life had deteriated so much we knew we had to let her go.When Mr Kandy took her and the vet weighed her she had lost another 1lb in weight in a week he said that we had made the right decision but the parting doesn't get any easier:cry3:We put a throw on the bed because she was making a bit of a mess because she could clean herself properly after loo duties, but at least the throw can be washed. This is her trying to to eat some chicken breast that I cooked for her and her cream cheese tablets are in the bowl next to her

Sorry to hear of your loss. :grphg:

It's four years since Oscar went but we still miss him. I'm sure that I still see him out of the corner of my eye occasionally. He's still lurking around keeping an eye on his garden and birds.

I've had several Cat's over time and the loss of any one of them always left a large hole in Life. I remember visiting a site late at night in Stockport and while walking around it with staff we heard a squeaking noise and a found a tiny black kitten [just a mere ball of fluff]. None of the staff wanted it and I ended up with it sitting on the headrest of my car seat while I went up to Preston and Carlyle to visits sites there. The kitten ended up sleeping up on my left shoulder on the way back to the office. It was so small that it fitted into the breast pocket of my jacket as I tried to get other managers to take it on....no luck. But in the end it ended up in the basket of my dog at home who basically mothered it until it grew up.:doggieshmooze::cat-kittyandsmiley:
These are the two that "own" me at the moment, Jenny on your left and Sally on your right.
