Wants me to trap some pesky mice in my tunnels, or shoot a rabbit for it more likely, if you keeping chucking something in the same place whilst they're about they get to expect handouts every time they see you.

Once again, the time it stays put screeching away at me whilst I'm collecting all the tomatoes I picked earlier, was when I only had a point and shoot in my pocket, but shows how important to have any sort of camera with you at all times.

What a beautiful bird :dbgrtmb: still uncommon down here.

Baiter park shoreline (edge of Poole harbour). A small flock of 30 Ringed Plovers landed about 10 yards from the foot path and were quite tolerant of me standing and watching them. A single Dunlin came in with them. One Wheatear appeared too but was immediately frightened off by one of (many) loose dogs.

Holton Lee this morning, this one was not after anything, it sat in a Birch tree for 20 minutes.

I got some decent shots of a Kingfisher (at last) after the Sparrowhawk had gone.

Thank you Jiffy, it stayed for a while and dived a few times but didn't catch anything.
                One more.

I was woken this morning by a blinking magpie making that awful sound which they make! :wallbanging: As pretty as they are they are my least favourite bird :yikes:!

Yep, they can be a threat to other birds and aren't welcome in my garden although there are a few living nearby. My Cats don't bother any of the birds in the garden but they won't tolerate Magpies and they chase them out.:cat-kittyandsmiley:

I hated Magpies until I moved into my last house. There was a ravine at the back with a lot of shrubs and trees growing there. A pair of Magpies nested and reared their young there every year and it was fascinating to watch them and the antics they got up too. :) They also pair for life which is something in their favour.
