That's much better than mine Jiffy! Sorry Dips, hope no real damage done. Me too, what's more the light pollution was not bad. Maybe because we have been changed to "eco" street lights recently that has helped.
The only time we change to eco street lighting is when cars knock the lampposts down. They just prop the post back up again and reconnect the power.
Some great pictures there everyone! I watched the event and took some pictures using my bridge camera, unfortunately it was the wrong choice as the electronic viewfinder let me down. Should have stuck with my DSLR. The night sky was amazing, we have no light pollution here as all street lights are out at midnight.
Although I felt completely zonked when the alarm went off at 2:00 am and I felt desperate to get back into bed at 4:00, I felt it was well worth getting up for. I didn't want to risk having to wait another 18 years only for it to be cloudy.
