Yawn Yawn, wakey wakey !! 2015 mk 2

Morning all

Yes, a dark and chilly start for us this morning.

Busy day yesterday, after doing a LIGHT BIT OF GARDENING I set to and
made 3 Christmas cakes, 1 large, 1 med to put away, and a loaf tin size to keep the
OH for now

In the afternoon, I then got around to picking the last of the runner beans, I had to leave them soaking overnight in cold water, as I did not realise I had started to do the job
a bit too late, and had to leave it to do dinner. After dinner I only do the washing
up, as I use the rest of the evening as time to relax my spine.

Hopefully a quieter day today, off to see my therapist at lunchtime, by the time I have
done a bit of shopping after that and had lunch, it's always about 3.30pm. Time
for a short snooze, before I do a little weeding before starting the dinner all
over again. ( What a hectic life)

Ah well, must wake the OH to help him with his shower.

I'm a bit late on parade this morning, I feel like live already done a days work,really early start for me this morning, I didn't like going to work in the dark. But I'm ahead now, I want to try to pop in on a friend later on who's really down in the dumps hopefully I can cheer her up!
@moyra im sorry to hear you have picked up a cold, there seems to be so many around at the moment, I'm still flight off mine too. Make yourself a nice cuppa & cuddle up with Amber! @liliana I like the sound of those Christmas cakes! I love Christmas cake are you going to pour brandy over it? Then marzipan & ice it? My dear old nan always made a Christmas cake in the shape of a snowman! @shiney im blessed with sunshine too , I bet your garden looks lovely

I would love to see your christmas cake recipe if you're willing to share it. I have never made one (no symbol for chicken here) and love eating them!

 

No, I am going to put pineapple juice as we don't like alcohol in our Christmas cake. This year
as the OH is not supposed to have flour, I have used coconut flour, and the cake
has come out really well. Basically, I look in my store cupboard, coconut,
apricots, crystallised ginger, dried cranberries, chilli chocolate sugar, you name it, I
put it in. It always comes out alright, and the OH has never complained.

Good Morning All,

Lovely bright day here.
I had six hens in one coop & one hen on her own last night in the other coop! I suspect there was a big fight at bedtime fortunately I wasn't here to see or hear the drama! Marion has decided to sit on the kitchen floor this morning! Maybe she's protesting!!! I think she wants a treat! the others are outside shouting at the back door! It's like a mad house here!
I've got lots to do today so I'd better get a move on.
