Planned our weekend away to visit son for his birthday. Made bread, chicken liver pate, birthday cake. Had a walk around the garden with a friend when it stopped raining and admired the apples.

        Today was a good day

I baked some cookies which were nice

I had my physio and smashed it. I have reached my goal of walking in heels thats no issue now. I can do squats on my wobble cushion now so we are going to work on my arms as i had issues stirring the cookie mix. We are in corporating weights with the wobble cushion

So new goal is to make my arms stronger and bake more :-)

Working again at office. Scheduled some carpet instillation at my home for next Saturday, so have lots of clean out to do in that room, and moving stuff etc. Really not looking forward. And then there is the bringing in of the plants from the deck (getting cold) Husband working on painting the cedar sides of the house with a hired guy, and then new protection of the deck, so I have to nag about the climbing honeysuckle that has done WONDERFUL over the last 10 years, for them to be really really careful. And then the cats can't walk on the deck as it is drying another issue. I need a vacation.

I have decided to downsize my collection of vintage garden tools, so have spent some time listing on Ebay - anyone like a look please go to Architectural Antiques , my ID is adamsfirewood.

Mods - I hope I haven't infringed any rules by mentioning my Ebay activities, if so, apologies and please delete the posting.

After 5 years of having no curtains in our dining room. We finally have a pair up and they only cost me £8.49.

Curtains always a struggle for me to find just the right ones. Lucky for us no privacy curtains are really needed as we are too far from prying eyes just a few window trimming type is all I needed.
So what type did you finally get after 5 years?

Exact opposite JJ , we just removed all our downstairs curtains and poles. We have had Venetian blinds fitted all round , really like them :blue thumb: Curtains went on Freecycle.
