Your Day (apart from gardening) - what took place?

Been on me knees all day cutting glass and soldering, wine o'clock now

 

I spent the day fixing up one of my heaters, baked bread, shopped, worked on the third rear brake light on my car to bring it up a little nicer cosmetically, bbq something for supper.


Got a client coming by soon to pick up her sheers and then it's cocktail hour. Red wine spritzer anyone? Zigs? You know if you water it down, you don't get legless...

 

3:45PM here . not quite wine time. maybe 30 mins. trying to figure out "what for dinner".

 

We have blinds in our kitchen and my craft room. I don't think I would want them across the whole of my house, theres something a bit cold about them.

I volunteer at a charity shop and we had these lovely pair of curtains from Next come in. They were a little too long for our door and so I had to shorten them from the top as they have them metal rings and our curtain pole had all its rings fixed in place. I only paid £6 for the curtains themselves and already had a bit of curtain tape I had bought in anticipation of making some when I had the time. So total cost was £8.49. The curtain pole didn't come with enough rings and only need two, so may have a go at making them on the lathe when I get time to.

 

Looks lovely, Jane. seems to match the general color in the room from what I can see.
Today I am cleaning out a room, moving all furniture out, little by little to empty it out for the new carpet next Saturday. What junk I have, hope I can throw more out, or give it away on the replacement round back to the room. My faithful sewing machine will go to the basement, as I really don't use it anymore, at least now. Not sure I want to sell it yet, perhaps when I retire I can start to sew again. It is a good Sears Kenmore machine. Anyway, come this Friday, I will be ripping out the old carpet, cleaning the floor before they arrive Saturday to put the new in.
I am so tired. now have to think of dinner soon. glass of wine will help. After I put the clean sheets on the bed. Then that is it.

 

I've decided to take up walking - bit of exercise, fresh air and take in the views.

Downloaded a map of 'local' public footpaths and at 9.10 am today, bravely stepped out into the cold morning air.

Eventually took 40 minutes to walk a mile - either I was very slow or google maps is wrong . I did spend a fair amount of time dodging cow pats though.

My shoes were also soaked (note to self 'proper' walking boots required).

I did stupidly pull some muscles in my back tho as i thought i would wade in to the river as its so low to get some pictures but its very very slippy and i almost went over.

I have also been scattering more hearts for the peyton heart project so left some in the tescos in cefn and others around trevor. One has been found and has already been posted on fb :-)
