I'll have to send it in a pm as it can be a bit revealing if it's windy :roflol:

Don't think I'll get much done in the garden today. I really need to work on getting the house clean and presentable...

But I have taken the big BBQ down to the wood store, and brought the small BBQ-come-brazier up, ready for next weekend. I'm planning on having it lit and burning on the drive, fairly near the front door for my party, the idea being that any smokers will be nice and warm whilst they indulge their habits. I really hate the smell of cigarette smoke, and don't want it in the house. Do you think this unreasonable? (Previously we have sent smokers to the conservatory, but haven't got one here!!)

Anyway, other tasks are more indoor ones - getting the remaining chilli plants tidied up and moved upstairs to my craft room, so that I can work on getting downstairs cleaned. Got a bit of a greenfly problem on some of the plants - anyone else had this? Should I try to clean them up, or just put them on the compost, this late on in the season?

I might also get the bird table cleaned, repaired and feeders filled - but the rest of my chores today involve a vacuum cleaner and a mop.
...thinking of skiving off and baking some brownies instead...

Cut off all the agapanthus heads and cleared up more fallen quince.

Moved the brug inside and the half hardy foxgloves into the cold frame. Fleeced one of the evergreen agapanthus and fleeced the bottle brush bush.

And moved some of the pots around.

We've had a skip delivered which we have now filled to the brim. It's full of dilapidated wooden troughs and planters, old plastic pots and other stuff. The garden is now pretty much empty compared to how it was. It's all paved (not my choice) so it's up to the next tenants to do what they want with it. I'm taking all the best pots/plants with me and not leaving anything. Can't wait to exchange and complete. :fingers crossed: :spinning:

I cut down the phlox and crocosmia and did more deadheading. Started to clear summer baskets and pots and will plant up some spring bulbs tomorrow.

When I cleared the plum tomatoes there were self seeded Land Cress and Leaf beet under them :)

Planted out some Mizuna and Lambs Lettuce, gonna get some mixed salad leaves in too.

Managed to get in the garden for an hour on Saturday, cut grass and pulled out the annuals. Also removed some Day Lillies and gave them to my brother, love the flowers, but they are ugly plants.

Spent most of Saturday pressing apples, got 15 litres which is a good first attempt, just takes alot longer than I expected!

Did some product photos for work and pinned up more trellises

Removed all the runners coming from the strawberries which are not needed.

Tidied up the broken artichokes leaves

Got a Devon Blue ceramic ashtray on the dashboard in the car, make hitchikers use it, which they do out of fear after seeing the sticker next to it :)

Can you not see my shining halo @Zigs? Nearly 3 years since I beat the dreaded weed. My very nice new greenhouse purchased 2 years ago has been well and truly paid for from what I would have spent on fags. Still, there are so many worse sins in the world than smoking cigarettes IMO . I for 1 find it disgusting having to watch massively fat people stuffing their faces with fast food and the likes but they ...oh have gland problems!:)
