Just checked my plant log , got the first odd flowers middle off July last year . But I think it was late August when they really kicked off. Mine are growing really well now , the poor summer must delay the flowering.

@Fern4 , update on the Cobea Scandens Alba. It has flowered well through October. Picture taken this afternoon on a plant that's grown 8 feet high by 12 feet wide . The white flower is very nice but it doesn't stand out like the purple version . So back to purple next year :blue thumb:

Great thread, I'm going to grow these for the first time next year. I love the flowers but the seeds seem soooo expensive, so when I found some for half price In the summer( still well in date) I grabbed them:snork:

Thanks Harry. I did wonder if the white flower would have a greenish hue and wouldn't stand out as much. They do look lovely though. I'll definitely be growing them again next year. :blue thumb:

Hi @Loki , I buy my Cobea seeds on Ebay . I got a packet of 15 for £2.25 last year . There are lots of good seed sellers on Ebay . Premier Seeds is one , they have a huge range of seeds from £0.99 a packet :blue thumb:

Hi HarryS, I've used premier seeds before, mainly for veg, salad though. Will definitely have a look at their flowers now as well, thanks for reminding me about them:blue thumb:
