Arthritic foot

    Are you taking cod liver oil? It does help reduce the effect of arthritis although it is not a wonder cure. My mother has rheumatoid arthritis and cut out red meat which helped in the early stages.
    Also try mixing up running, swimming ( make it a family outing?), cycling (heavier on the ball of the foot) and brisk walking (uses the same joints as running but less jarring). Because of my knackered ankles I'm now walking a very brisk six miles (an hour and twenty five minutes) three times a week with no ill effects.

      @longk, I don't take fish oil supplements, but we do make sure we have a main meal with oily fish as the main part at least 3 times a week.

      I like the idea of combining walking, swimming and cycling.
