Well, there seems fireworks going off all around us but one Cat [Jenny] is asleep on the Washing Basket in the Bathroom, while the other [Sally] is fast asleep on her cushion behind the sofa.:dunno::cat-kittyandsmiley::heehee:

Well, after my wee fellow tried to climb up my chest a few times (using his claws as crampons), and then proceeded to try every which way but loose to climb up the living room wall (seriously!), I simply had to do something before he did himself an injury.

I popped to Pets at Home and bought a bottle of Adaptil spray, and sprayed it on his blanket and then later onto his collar. Now, by the time I got the spray, he was already in a well agitated state and it seemed to have little or no effect, however today I got in before the bangs.....

I sprayed his collar (take it off first!) liberally, and after allowing it to evaporate (as per instructions), and popped it back on. Now, he is not totally chilled, but there are so many bangs going off around here you could be forgiven for thinking we were in Bosnia; and so far, he hasn't tried climbing up the wall and is a lot calmer than he would normally be.

£24 so not cheap, but it does seem to work.

Apparently Bosnia is not that bad now. I saw on telly the other day that journalists can now stick their heads out of hotel windows without getting said head shot off. And apparently the leaders of Bosnia and Serbia are getting together for trade talks. A lot can change in 20 years.

I don't want you to think I'm a nasty old bag but I'm feeling delighted! :heehee: It's a total flop at the pub! There's about 10 cars, not a single car blocking my drive & not only that not a single bang so far :hapfeet:. Hubby said when he got home to 'animal' sit there was an awful smell of fuel, obviously used to set fire to the bonfire!......I have no words! (As a child we had bonfire parties for years & we NEVER used fuel to light it)
I hope after tonight I won't have to put up with anymore fireworks & I hope the same for you all too.
Thinking of you all & your pets :grphg:xx

I just hope they don't let the fireworks off late just to annoy you @Beckie76

Some people don't know how to make or light fires, i've seen people trying to light a fire with green wood :snork: that's why they use fuel, i realy should go and learn how to light a fire

You are so right @Jiffy, the bonfire was basically a massive pile of conifer, trees/hedge pallets & a mattress .....personally I wouldn't have burnt a mattress!
Thank goodness that's over for another year! :phew:

You be surprised at what goes on to a bonfire fire this time of year to get rid of things that you can't do legally:mute:

I am expecting some tonight, it always seems to extend to following weekend especially as a dry night forecast here anyway.

Here we go again! No nice displays or visuals. Just a competition to make the loudest bang. Ho hum.
