I was thinking of some unusual names that parents select for their children.
Here are three names that I recall.
    Rimmel: Named after Cosmetics ?.
Jagger : Named after Mick ?.
Cleopatra: Named after a queen of Egypt ?.

The third name, Cleopatra, can you imagine the old tenements in Glasgow and the mother leaning out the window shouting," Cleopatra hurry up here ",

"Yur Mince Is Gettin Cauld Hen" !.;).

Can you recall any unusual Names.

Senga - clearly someone knitted Agnes a jumper and followed the pattern inside out to come up with that one.

This made me giggle, I have primary school aged as well as secondary school aged children. Standing in the playground is hilarious with the names being called out. My two eldest talk about their friends and sometimes I have to ask them 3 times to repeat themselves because I think I've misunderstood their friends names:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Hi Fat Controller. The name Senga was quite a well used name in Glasgow when I lived there.
I think it originated from an Auntie Agnes who had been on the Eldorado Wine.;);).

My bruv is called Alaric, I believe it's a German name. Quite an unusual name, but can you believe there's another Alaric in the area with the same surname!

Kevs cousin has a child called IKEA!!! I mean honestly why would you call a child that? :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Or maybe just a small child? (space saving?)
