Thank you for sharing the photograph with me @shiney it's so lovely. May I ask how old this one is as it will give me an idea of size v age?

I agree what you say about moving it at a later date. If I'm being very honest with myself I really like it where it is and I really don't know why I have this nagging doubt.

I have put a circle of Alliums around it, all at different heights from Globemasters, Ambassadors to large white, purple, blue and Sphaerocephalon. I have put some Fritillaria Imperialis Rubra at the back and I'm worried that I may have placed the bulbs a little too close. In hind sight I'm thinking lets have a look at what happens next year for space and if I think it's too tight I'm guessing it would be easier to move the bulbs?

Remember that the leaves droop over a lot so don't have the alliums too close.

That one is quite old (over 40 years) and we burn it down every two or three years.

Thank you Shiney :) I think for their first year they will be fine where they are but maybe after this they may need to be moved away so I am going to be eager to see what happens ;)

Other than the heavy shower here and there, had a good day today. Planted lots more bulbs and plants. Also spent a lot of time skimming the top of the soil to get rid of the hairy bitter cress thank you to my GC friends identification :)

I've put a plan together so that I can remember what I have put where and then when it comes to Spring I can look at space and height and plant summer flowers between

Just half way though the plot so hopefully with some dry weather I will be able to get it finished by the weekend. Really pleased with progress.

My little friend is getting closer and more confident every day

We had quiet a few down pours today so Tess and i took shelter in the arbour

It's all looking so much better, so hopefully weather permitting I will take an up dated photo and post tomorrow :)

The weather has been so wet that I've only just managed to get out and do some gardening :hapydancsmil:even completed my first grass cut :)

My new plot is showing all things coming up :hapfeet:so glad that I made a map as all the pegs I put into the ground to identify have blown away or been washed out during the winter months :yahoo: It feels so good to be doing things :spinning:
