It represents the many contradictions in human nature.

The wide legs represents masculine prowess, but crossed arms represents insecurity and a sense of vulnerability.

Or it could be saying, 'look, I'm not hostile, as you can tell by the fact that my arms are not ready to strike you, and my gonads are unguarded should you decide you wish to kick them but I trust you won't, because I can see you too are in the same vulnerable submissive stance as I'.

I agree with the first part, but I'm not so sure about the last. Most of the people I've "negotiated" with who've taken that stance have usually been confident and sure in what they were saying. So for me, the crossing of arms was a sign fairly relaxed, sometimes strong opinion and belief in their thoughts.:dunno::snork:

One will never truly know I gather, but its interesting to wonder.

OK, another one---when the man does not wash his hands after using the toilet. So you can ask--how do you know. Well, just this past Sunday, had two adult male relative visitors, and after they used the guest bathroom, funny how the hand towels remained in perfect position as I had hung them there.

Ahhh, now then, if that was me, I would have washed my hands and put the towel back exactly as it was :blue thumb:. Mr OCD !

Just playing devils advocate, because I follow the unnecessary but customary ritual of washing my hands after a wee, but there is sound logic to not washing your hands afterwards.

A hygienic gentlemen that is not ill with certain fairly uncommon ailments will have completely sterile wee. Not that he wees on his hands anyway. Nobody can guarantee sterile poo though. If someone does a number 2, they absolutely must wash their hands after wiping their posterior. So they use their contaminated hands to turn on the taps. Wash their hands, then touch the same taps to turn them off. At this point, potentially, the tap handles are covered with, for example, cryptosporidium, which basically if it gets into your intestines by being transferred from tap to handto food, will make you become very familiar with the bathroom.

              Gross, but true.

.....And in public toilets where everything is automatic so you don't have to touch anything after washing your hands.....but the entrance door, which isn't automatic and contains all the germs from those people who didn't wash their hands!

proper turning off of taps should be done with your paper towel you have used, or a piece of toilet paper. Or even the hand towel left for usage.
Yes your wee is sterile, but the faucet from which is comes is not.

So, back here again, as I recalled another hate thing: my in-laws were not taught about bathroom decency. Could never understand how one rupples up a rug in the bathroom like a storm hit it, and leaving drips of yellow on the seat, and worse a brown skid mark on the seat. Besides not washing their hands.

I always use the paper towel I have from drying my hands for opening up the door with it and then tossing it back to the basket. or there is the elbow trick of the handle is such.

Affect and effect----gives me trouble, I have to stop and think before I move on with which word. Once in a medical report ---in a hospital---there was typed the word sea man, instead of semen. And a nurse once wrote, Know one was able to (blah, blah, blah) instead of No one was able to (whatever).

Reminds me of a joke I know.

What's long and thin, rock hard, and full of sea men?

What really irritates me is the term " Worcester Sauce ".

                                A) There is no such thing.... It's Worcestershire Sauce.

                                B) Can't people read the label ?

                                C) Up until a couple of years ago it was made in Stourport - On - Severn, hence Worcestershire not Worcester.
