Morning all. My day off today, just pottering around at home doing the housework, it's mild and dry outside so I might mow the lawn as well.

Should be having a new sofa and chair being delivered today, so a bit of shuffling around of furniture to be done.

Hope you all have a good day.

Washing machine delivered and fitted. :blue thumb: They ran a short test on it to see that it was working OK and no leaks.

Now I'm going to spend the rest of the day learning how to operate it  At the moment I can't even get the door open! As it's all digital I guess I need to turn it on first (no lights and no display).

First two pages are all warnings of death, scalding, injury, suffocation, poisoning, eye/skin irritation etc. :yikes:
Haven't yet found how to turn it on :th scifD36:

Good morning. Enjoying my cuppa. Ta Q.

Have to move some pots down to the cellar - yes the one that still needs more reorganizing but they need to be moved because they are in my kitchen and it is now an obstacle course.

OH is going for some blood tests today and later the hygienist. I am going to be an evil girl and hoover whilst he is out. The price of electricity is high during weekdays but I'm tired of looking at the dust.... as soon as he leaves....;) naughty lori...

          Have a super day everyone!

              Good Morning everyone,

WOO, those scones look scrumptious. Good luck with the washing machine Shiney, hope you have sussed it out now. I had 170 window updates to wait on being loaded last night so another late evening again. Just hope there are no serious repercussions from them all.
Have a good day everyone, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well, God bless.:wub2:

                  Morning all:spinning:

Still dark here! Put the wheelie bin out and it's just starting to rain. :thud:

Husband's appointment with doctor did not go as expected. Thought his blood test
results were about his thyroid. Turns out his platelet and kidney function are not
quite right. Another blood test, he hates them.:help: Still, has to be done.

Decided to have toasted muffins this morning, it's been over a year since I
last had some, forgot how good they taste. Strawberries and banana on the
                  side.

Got a couple of hours to myself today, going to the vets to collect my dog, Fred's
ashes. I have a lovely box with an inscription 'Memories' to put them in:)

Anyway's have a lovely day :imphrt:

                      Good Morning Folks,

I'm a miserable old bat this morning! :gaah: More holiday saga! For those of you who don't know we have a holiday booked to Sharm El Sheikh, Thomson holidays have said we can amend our booking but can't have our money back 'yet', this is fine but due to work commitments & contracts we can only escape over the Christmas period, I've been trying to sort out an alternative but there's only low end hotels now avalible (within the timescale we have avalible) until Thomson release another batch of hotel rooms....they won't tell me when they are going to release these :gaah:, it's also becoming very tricky to find availability . To top it off the brilliant lady in the travel agents who always finds us wonderful hotels/holidays is away on annual leave until Tuesday! I think the best thing might be to wait until next week, hope a refund is then avalible & find a nice hotel in the uk just to get a few days away......a change is as good as a rest & all that! Sorry for the moaning but I feel better now!

On with positive news.......I hope you are all well & life is treating you all with kindness.
It's a bit chilly here this morning but it's dry which is nice :dbgrtmb:
The hens are charging around the garden, I think Veronica has got the devil in her this morning :heehee: she managed to sneak into the kitchen & eat some cat food:doh:, I didn't even see her come in! She's a menace! :imphrt:

I'm off to make a cuppa tea then it's off to work for me, enjoy your day :coffee::grphg:

Mum and Dad took me on holiday in a war zone once (it was cheap :))

I was asleep when the plane was being shot at by the PLO, bless them, they never told me as they didn't want to spoil my holiday :spinning:

Wide awake at 4am today, then didn't want to wake up at the normal time

Have a good day everyone :)

@Beckie76 They have to offer you a similar, or better, standard of holiday if they are cancelling yours. It also has to be at the time that you wanted. Are they not doing that?

@wiseowl this is especially for you :hapydancsmil::hapfeet::yahoo: :) I've given up being a grumpy old bat! :)

@shiney, Thomson have said that I can amend my holiday to anywhere else up until 31.10.16, which is great but my work commitments are such that I can only take time off over Christmas, I've looked at the dates I have available & I can't find a 5 star hotel with flights to match my availability :frown:. Thomson have another conference scheduled on Tuesday, they have said that our current booked holiday to Sharm will be on the agenda, they are saying that I should be able to 'hopefully' get a refund after that point or there 'might' be more hotel rooms released. It's really frustrating because I'm quite an organised person & I like to know what's going on.....or as my hubby says a bit of a control freak! :th scifD36:
I know it will workout one way or another, but in the meantime it's very frustrating. :gaah:.
Thanks for your replies everyone, :grphg:

Beckie, I hope this holiday business gets sorted out for you. It's not fair that they are adding stress to making these arrangements.

I'm going to the U.S. a little later. Picking up some shipments. One is a bunch of puzzles and things like cubes, and Jacobs Ladder, metal twist puzzles and chinese yoyos. I hand them out to kids at Christmas parties and sometimes at the pub while teasingly claiming them to be sobriety tests :heehee:

It's still dark and supposed to be cloudy but I don't care what the weather will be like, I'll be driving most of the day. :)
