While the UK seems to be suffering from horrendous weather fronts we appear to have jumped to spring. It's so warm - up to 8° higher than the norm in some places. I've lived here for over twenty years and while I have seemed some pretty erratic weather I certainly don't ever remember such high temperatures in December. It's about 20-22°C and yesterday in Bilbao I think they got up to nearly 30°C!!!!

The sun is trying to shine through the grey clouds. The wind has died right down now and it's 9.5C. I've just been for a wander in the garden and some of my daffs in tubs are about to flower :rolleyespink:

What a ridiculous climate we have. After god knows all what has been thrown at us over the past few days and here anyway some of the strongest winds over night last night , today has been GORGEOUS. Not a drop of wind, blue skies and for December extremely mild. A good day for bailing out the basement:snork:. Do hope those affected by this awful spell of weather have been able to at least make a start on the clean up.

Sunshine! :) The first we've had in a month! It's been a calm day with no wind, no rain and the island is recovering from the deluge, 9C/48F.

Glad to hear all is well up there too Silu. :)

No sunshine:dunno::heehee: ........what a surprise!! The day started off very dark and during the morning it rained for an hour or two. In the afternoon the skies went from very dark to just dark:doh:, and the rain stopped. The one thing missing was the high winds that's been a feature of the storm and it was a relief not to have to brace yourself against the strengths of the gusts that we've all experienced over the past days. The temperature topped 55f again so it's been a mild day. Right now the temperature is 41f and the pressure reading is 1023mbs.:coffee::snork:

A much better day today with sunshine and blue skies:yes::hapfeet::hapydancsmil: It's stayed dry all day with a just a gentle breeze and the temperature got to 57f. It's amazing how some sunshine can lift your spirits and make you feel physically better!!
The skies have clouded up more this evening, in spite of me hoping for clear skies so that I could use the telescope, and the Met Office is forecasting more rain during the night. Right now the temperature is 51f [we're having a very warm December it seems] and the pressure reading is 1029mbs. The forecast for tomorrow is for some cloud and some Sun with a temperature of around 51f.........we'll see.:coffee::snork:

Only a month for an Ice Age! I know time seems to pass more quickly as we get older, but that's ridiculous! :heehee:

Dry and breezy today has progressed to wet and windy again this evening. Hold on folks, we might get a break for a few days next week.....I'm holding my breath as I type! We can't be having an Ice Age this month, summer is returning - up to 14C/57F here today. :)
