I wonder if House Leeks planted in Whelk shells would sell well to tourists at seaside car boot sales?

I bought a couple of these last year and true to form I'd managed to kill them within the month :wallbanging:

On my Dahlia canes I use plastic drink cups, as eye protectors . They are dark brown so don't look too bad - then again they don't look too good . This was following a tip on here a few years back , put straw in the cups on top off the canes and earwigs will overnight in them , so you can catch them . Not seen one bloomin' earwig yet on my Dahlias ! Might use something more aesthetic next year .
Always use eye protectors , of any type , on canes. Just takes a second to bend down, not thinking , and you could have a very very nasty accident .
