    Sunset times......

At the moment the sunset time here is at a standstill so will start drawing out in a few days. A question though. Is the sunset time taken from when it starts to set, touching the horizon, or when it's totally disappeared?

It's the moment when the trailing edge of the Sun's disk disappears below the horizon

Thanks @shiney :dbgrtmb: I've just checked my Manx weather site and it says that sunset has drawn out by one minute today. I've checked that against four other sites and they all say something different.:biggrin: I'll look again tomorrow.

We've had a few hours of sunshine today  and where was I? In Douglas of course so it was wasted, I could have been in the garden. :doh:12C/54F

It was grey and raining during the first part of the morning and then later it dried out and very gradually the skies to the West started to clear. The temperature got up to 57f in the afternoon although there was no direct Sun showing. Right now the temperature is 49f and the pressure reading is 1015mbs.:dunno::biggrin:

In three different places on the island it's giving me different times Shiney. It's telling me that on the other side of the island, opposite where I live, there is a minute's difference between us. Thirteen miles? No I don't believe that.:biggrin:
