It's only a bigger Sunday dinner !!

It is interesting reading the wine choices. I am an ABC girl. Just something about the taste bothers me.

 

Out of pure curiosity, what is an ABC girl? See I was taught that when ABC is used as a mnemonic,it means Accelerator, Brake, Clutch, but I somehow suspect that's not what you meant

 

The drinks list for me is not my usual cloudy bay te koko or cloudy bay sauvignon blanc which is normally all i drink but as my dad cant drink i would have no one to share with as my mum only drinks chablis premier cru when it comes to white wine and i dont like red.

So as a compromise we both happen to like Meinklang prosa its a sparkling pinot noir rose from austria

I also dont really like cider but do like Domaine des Cinq Autels, Normandy Sparkling Cider which me and my bro will be having some off the other brother doesnt drink

I also have stuff to make tequilla sunrises and we may have some laurent perrier rose champagne too. Its chilled in the fridge anyway.

There is cloudy bay te koko and chablis in the fridges anyway just incase

Then because my dad cant drink I will be on mocktail duty and be making shirely temples and alcohol free mojitos for him and he has some non alcoholic beer too

There will also be a red that my bro and mum will drink im sure but thats not my dept

Tbh my family generally goes quite hard when it comes to alochol this year but without my dad drinking there will be less consumed altho aparently my bro is planning to drink for all of us lol

For someone who has only just had to start looking after himself (divorce), I find cooking really easy. I never imagined that I would ever be able to do a roast dinner, but as you guys say, it's all about timing Simples

 

When Kev & I first moved in together his mother had done everything for him, he's an only child, to say I had my work cut out was an understatement! The first Sunday in our house I cooked the Sunday lunch the second Sunday Kev had to cook it & I have to say he's a far better cook than me now, my baking is much better than his!
There's only one thing Kev doesn't do now & that's ironing but I don't mind because I love ironing!yep I'm one of 'those' if I had more time I would iron everything!

 

My ex made everything seem like a big deal. Cooking, washing etc, but it's not. I bung everything in a big whirly thing that fills with water, then after hitting the start button, I sit and watch tv. Later I bung it all in a big whirly thing that heats up, then after hitting the start button, I sit and watch tv. No ironing required . I even bought a dishwasher, but that was always my job anyway, as I wanted it loaded properly . I do it by hand now I am alone.

 

Whatever you're doing today and whatever you're having....enjoy it! OH is cooking our dinner but I'll help with the clearing up. There will be three of us and it will all be pretty relaxed the way we like it!

 

I've got the dog on plate cleaning duties.
