That's a lovely assortment there FC. :) I thought you said last year that you were going to prune your list for this year.

Just the one tomato this year....

          Candytuft 'Snowflake'
          Asarina 'Formula Mix'
          Antirrhinum 'Chuckles'

            Nice mix there @Sheal :)

I will be interested to hear how you get on with the Asarina, as I keep looking at it every year and then dismiss it from the list.

At one point I had Thunbergia and Larkspur on my list too, but knocked them off just so I wasn't doing too much.

              Thanks FC.

I'll let you know about the Asarina. It's a few years since I've grown Thunbergia but I've got something a little different planned for it this time. If it works I'll let you into the secret. :)

Larkspur....I'm not sure how they are going to work out. I'm just wondering if they are going to be difficult like Delphinium.

I ordered some of the usual suspects. Tomato, asprabroc, brussels sprouts, yellow and green beans. Then in flowers new style gazanias, some native ones called false sunflower, evening primrose and a native grass called Vanilla grass. I lent the catalogue to my son so can't quote their proper names.

I have lots of seeds I collected including pansies, nicotiana, morning glories, zinnias..

I like Gazania's Lori but they spend most of the time with their flowers closed here so I don't bother with them now.

It's not occurred to me to collect Nicotiana seed, do they grow true to the parent plant please?

Delphinium - another non-starter for me. I have tried them a few times, and no luck, even buying plants in pots they still died or were killed; maybe they are ultra appealing to slugs and snails?

Yes they do. This will be my third year from successive gatherings.

I have gazania seeds too but I wanted a new variety. I love colour. I also collected salvia seed from a plant called royal purple or some such name...

Thanks Lori, I'll be collecting them at the end of this coming summer, assuming we get one. :)

The nice thing about Moles is that their seeds come in shiny golden packets - - I am like a kid in a sweetshop
