Never liked Motorhead, but saw him playing in Hawkwind at Windsor Festival many (or perhaps that should be many, many?) years ago before he left them.

As an ex-'headbanger', I recall some mighty fine times back in my youth with the likes of Silver Machine, Bomber and Ace of Spades going at full volume (and I still have the tinnitus to prove it).

All I can say is, so long Lemmy and thanks for all the memories. :ccheers: :wallbanging: :wallbanging: :wallbanging: :rolleyespink: :dbgrtmb:

I read that the band have asked that fans honour him by having a drink while listening to Motorhead. I don't normally go in for all the celebrity stuff, but I think I can honour that request.

Well, it was never my kind of music but Lemmy has a place in music history that he deserves. He lived life to the full and that can't be bad!! He'll be taking his guitar to Pearly Gates and playing as he goes through.

                  in one of our newspapers

"A petition has been launched to put the name of the late Motörhead lead singer Lemmy Kilmister onto one of the four newly discovered metal elements.

The petition urges The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry to call one of the elements “Lemmium.”
