There are so many people in the world today, if we all jumped at exactly the same moment, we would all land again moments later.

In 1995 a gardener in Norway was the first man to be convicted of being drunk in charge of a lawnmower as he drove one between two gardens. :snork:

Here's one for the GC photographers. After trick photography was developed in 1856, creating headless portraits became a trend that swept through the Victorian era.

In July 2011, at North Carolina State University, the Belly Button Biodiversity study found about 1,400 different strains of bacteria living in the navels of 95 participants. Of these, 662 strains were previously unrecognized. :yikes:

To be fair, a cat is not a domestic animal though. They aren't loyal or obedient to their owners. They merely take advantage of them should they wish to do so. Which brings me to another fact. Even in law, the cat is treat different to other pet animals, in that a cat is classed as a 'free spirit', meaning it's owner can not be held responsible for its actions.

Apparently today is Data Privacy Day.

Also known as Data Protection Day in Europe, the day celebrates the anniversary of the signing of the Council of Europe's Convention for the Protection of Individuals with Regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data in 1981.

The holiday was first celebrated in 2007 and promotes the need for data privacy. It also helps raise awareness about how people can protect their data and their privacy online and offline.

And I had no idea.....

Old people, like me :old: :heehee:, still use it :noidea:, but I also use a lot of lesser known old words. I used the word 'quotidian' on GC only yesterday.
