Spring is on its way

Shineyland open day is getting closer (yes it's the highlight of my year)

 

The days are getting longer

 

must have missed this blessing thread all this time. How sweet. Cheerfully I am going to inhale every moment of my day to not miss anything.

 

Should be getting the keys to our new house on Jan 29th. Hope everything goes to plan

 

Days are getting longer, will soon be springtime

 

Wednesday will be momentous. Sunset at 4:30. After that, I will officially be finishing work during daylight.

Those who finish at 5pm, you only have another 4 weeks til your daylight returns.

 

Now we know why some cultures worshipped the sun

 

The Electric stayed on during the storm.

 

This Thursday sunset is 1700hrs down here

 

Up here it's at 16.44hrs

 

Lighter nights, fence still up and eldest son went to a tattooist with a friend but didn't get one! , phew

 

I feel I should explain, he's 17 not 27, if he where older and wanted one I realise I need to butt out however, he's still my child, until September and I'm going to enjoy every single day of it

 

One day when Mr "M" and I were out and about, we passed the local tat shop:
Him: I've always wanted one
Me: Go on then
Him: You wouldn't mind?
Me: How long have you wanted one?
Him: Since I was 18
Me: Well, you're more than double that now ... its not like you're rushing in to it!
Him: (going slightly pale) Erm ... he may not be able to do what I want.
Me: Go and ask him! My treat
Him: (going even paler) Er .... ok ...

Might be a good time to point out he is terrified of needles and a real wimp!
Credit where it is due though, he was a brave little soldier that day

 

One of my boys wanted an earing when he was 13. Told him horror stories about infections and people needing the studs cut out. he is now a happy unmarked guy.
