    No I haven't forgotten Shineyland, but that's where you live, unless you're volunteering a spare bedroom of course. :heehee:

      There are sometimes places on the fringe of Shineyland that are for sale. One sold a few months ago. :blue thumb:

      They get almost the same weather as us. Although we just drove through the next village (1 mile across the fields) and they have had heavy rain today whilst we haven't had any.

        Sorry, I couldn't do Essex again Shiney, I grew up there and grew out of it which is partly why I'm where I am now. I'm going to Scotland where I've always wanted to be, I feel at home there. :)

                How about one of these, in a lovely setting with nice mountain views, and very fertile soil. Cost of living is cheap, people extremely friendly and very welcoming, for less than £10,000. We've just come back from there. :dbgrtmb:

                    We wanted to visit my mam in May (she lives abroad), and have booked time off work in September. But we haven't booked anything yet. We were thinking about Malta.

                      Not sure as yet. There is a possibility of visiting the UK, but nothing can be booked due to various happenings here in the village.

                      No doubt it will be a spur of the moment thing. As we will be driving, one problem for us are the refugees. They are not only causing problems in Calais, but in other countries through which we would need to pass:frown:.

                          Kev is going to Edinburgh later in the year (working) I might go with him for the weekend, I can fly back into Stansted so I'm back for work on Monday.

                          I've looked at going to the Chelsea Flower Show :) I could get a coach from Newmarket.
