Many of you are aware that my dear daughter emigrated to Canada just a week and a half ago. I've now received my first pictures which I'd like to share with you.

They are taken around Vancouver, British Columbia.

She and other half are doing fine Ziggy. They've just bought a car, 4x4 with a 2 litre engine, the smallest they could get. She says car insurance is extortionate.

Job hunting is under way and she's started an eight day course today. Other half is an electrician so he won't have any problems finding work.

As regards winter woollies.........she doesn't seem to need them.

You'll be so happy to get the pics from your daughter. You must miss her but the technology exists now to let people keep in touch. I'm sure you'll be going to visit her too.
I've been to Canada - Montreal, Quebec, Otowa, Toronto, Niagra - and loved it all. It was just beautiful.
Glad to hear your daughter is doing well. I'm sure she'll be very happy.

Thanks everyone for your support. I think I'd best get on and book that 'fear of flying' course. At the moment I fear booking it too.

My son emigrates to Ohio,USA in September. I don't suppose those pictures will be as good. He's going to Columbus and industrial city.
