When i joined i explained i was new to all this :dh: anyway my son asked if we could plant some cress for egg and cress sandwiches.
So anyway i did its done great and ready to harvest  its going tobe like cutting of the heads of my babies
That aside now for the silly question when i cut it for them bloody sandwiches will it grow back ?
If not can i salvage the compost as they have alot of roots should i just dig it over and replant and will the roots just compost.
I dont want to plant anything else in it if im going to get loads of cress growing back :help: cheers in advance Mike.

    Get your son involved...
    Heres how..
    One saucer or shallow plate.
    Kitchen paper to fit.
Simple dampen the paper... sprinkle it with cress seeds pop it on the kitchen window ledge and watch em grow. Keep the paper moist.
Cut when required and start again
    No messy compost

Thanks my older son who wants the cress he wont hes nearly 17 and thinks he has to much todo as it is :hehe:
My younger 5 year old is and was the reason i started myself :thumb: but what your saying makes sence.
When i planted the first crop of cress i did remember doing it at school along time ago :D
So i got the little lad and some empty eggs filled them with cotton wool and wet them and we drew faces on them :yho:
Now our little egg faces have hair :lollol::hehe: but next time maybe i should just do that on a bigger scale :thumb:

That's exactly what I was about to suggest. I remember doing just that at school when I was a nipper.

Here's another idea that I got from someone at work. One of the lads kept an old pair of shoes under his desk for months, never getting round to taking them home. So we hid them, put a couple of dampened paper hand towels in them, and some cress and mustard seeds. After a couple of weeks, we sneaked them back to their original location and started wangling things into our conversation that would make him look under his desk at his shoes, without directly letting on that we'd done anything. It was rather amusing when he saw what we'd done:)
