I managed to kill it.

 

Just coming into flower and will smother the plant but this little sisyrinchium is completely different from the rest, is non invasive and a delight throughout summer. Only 15 cm tall. The only sisyrinchium I grow

...had it for a few years now. Doesn’t self seed. The opposite in fact ......to keep it I need to divide it every second year as it can die out. Makes neat mounds here
I deliberately chose this variety.....commonly known as May Snow......as the only variety that doesn’t seed everywhere.
I first had it maybe 20 years ago but eventually lost it. Wish it did self seed in a way....hmmm! Maybe not

 

Good to know of one that is safe./not invasive.
