ok i am a bit of a novice at th gearderning lark but i try , the thing is i have planted pansy seeds and there has been no signs of life from them and they have been sown for about 6 weeks now , i actually sowed them last year and think i ended up throwing them away , now the thing is i am pretty sure i read somewhere about them being beianuaals , now does that mean if i sow them this year will they not germinate untill next year, may sound totally daft to you guys but it totally threw me when i read it, cheers in advance for info.

    Hi
6 weeks should have been plenty of time for them to germinate, even outside. I think the way pansys work is that they drop their seed and the plant dies. so next year you have seedlings from the original plant.

Did you plant them in a greeenhouse, indoors, or outside?

    hello Noksucow
as randyros says they should have germinated by now. I grow a few plants from seed , but I think Pansies are far easier to buy from the garden centre in mid - february.
For this year try sowing some Marigolds and Nasturtiums ( lots of varieties and choice ! ) in a windowsill propagator , like the one below. They should germinate in about 7 days :blue thumb:
