Too Cocky.

My Granddaughter was in a stressful state yesterday morning,she was getting school exams and was worried about her exams.(naturally).

This brought back memories to me when I was a wee Lad sitting my Exams.

I entered the room,sat down at my desk, I had not a worry in the world about the exams.
The Papers were presented,the time was set,and the exams started.

I was First in the Class to Complete the Exam Papers.
I was sitting with my arms crossed, looking around me with a smug look,thinking
'What A Bunch Of Losers'.

When I got home ,my Mother asked me " How did you get on son with your exams ?",

My reply:" Ah, Dead Easy, Simple, I was the first to complete the Exams".


When I got my Test Results It Was Marked (FAILED).


IT DOES NOT PAY TO BE TOO COCKY..

 

I was building a 3 & a half guage steam engine in my spare time when I was a kid.

Engineering tiny pumps that would fill the boiler at 140psi, gear levers that had spring loaded release handles that were the same size as a match box.

Still failed my metalwork O level.
