I was at Wisley last Friday and was spellbound by the beauty of the orchids in the new glasshouse. The colours were gorgeous.

Ooh lovely - I missed the orchids at Kew this year. I'm going to Wisley on Saturday too - there's apparently a bonsai workshop, so I'm sending my husband on that while I go round the garden.

Julia you would benefit from going to the bonsai workshop you will pick up some tips on dealing with your Metasequoia.

Have a great time tomorrow, Pal - we're now going on Sunday, as someone volunteered us to help his mate move house, without checking with me! I think you're going to have the better weather though.

Haven't been to Wisley since 1980, I guess it has changed since then, I think a visit is on the cards as I read about the new glasshouse in an RHS mag.
Hope you enjoyed it Pal. [IMG]
