I thought I'd go for a wander around my garden centre and it turned out they had a sale - yay! Brought a slightly battered Jasmine (Variegated I think), a lovely Dahlia that I have been after for ages, 3 packs of 10 tulip bulbs and a couple of packs of seeds all for the huuuuge price of............... £6.98! BARGAIN!

And there's loads of them on now, with bargains to be had...if you can see past the tatty foliage and "dying" plants.

brilliant found this thread at last.Think i've drop a boo boo:dh: visted the Range this morning and they had Buddleja Butterfly bush 'S for sale £6.99 going for 80p,things is they were pretty out of control ie long and stringy type's.If you get these plants do you have to stick them in the ground or if you cut them back to tidy them up (or should you leave them alone) will they keep in the pots they come .

Buddleia's love getting cut back hard in Spring. You could do a general, gentle prune now, maybe to remove some of the straggly and "dead looking" bits. If you aren't going to plant them in site now, at least repot them into a larger pot with fresh compost. That'll give them a chance to survive, but they're fairly indestructible anyway.

When I went out shopping today, I bought 50 Anemone De Caen, £1.28p and 60 mixed Alliums for £2.56p. To me this is super value for money, of course, I still have to coax them to grow next year, but thatâ??s another thing altogether.:hehe: A bargain is only a bargain as long as you get something to show for it.:thmb:
