Not a question, just a bit of info.

I am on Wanadoo Orange Wireless BB....yea I know, no comments please as I am moving from them shortly.

However, just replaced the standard crap wireless router they supply, which I suppose is the same with every BB package.

Just bought a Linksys Wireless Router with built in Nat firewall and password protection....crikey, the speed of it is tremendous compared with the bog standard one Orange supplied....so the purpose of this post is......spend £40 and get a decent router and replace the one that came with your package.:thumb:

I've been wondering this for a while, as my orange router is about as useful as a chocolate tea pot...

Heehee, we've always had Linksys routers, 4 ports and wireless all on the one. They work really well, and hardly ever have problems :)

    Who you moving to Tweaky?

Thinking of going to sky all in one.....as we are already on sky seems like a logical move...cause I don't trust BT.:p Yea, was recommended by a puter mate the linksys..he has never had any problems with his....this one is the latest mod, but as you say 4 ports plus wireless.

Hiya Carl, yea netgear is good stuff.:thumb:

Very true...it doesn't take advantage of the full signal available. If I hadn't replaced ours, I would have kicked it out the window, heh, heh.

Well youngster...I may have gone for that, but I prefer to buy on recommendation. If you recommend that one, then that's great. But my mate recommended the Linksys before you mentioned that, so that's what I have purchased yea.:thumb:

I used to have one of their modems ages ago when I was on dial up....it really is good gear, no doubt about it.

well I have a Linksys wireless adapter on my PC and that's brilliant (I can pick up signals from 18 doors down...) either way I don't have the money at the moment but when I do it will be a case of whats cheaper at the time :) but it's definitely going to be either a Linksys or Netgear

Before buying a router, check whether you are on DSL or ADSL as the router's are one or the other.
