Mrs Doogle thought you might be interested in seeing this in full bloom. It's about 4ft X 4ft and she has been growing it for about 15 years. Still some more blooms to come !

I used to grow them in the Palm House here years ago under the Monsteras and Bananas. Sort of died out in popularity for a while.
You have a fantastic specimen there.:gnthb:

    Hi Mrs Doogle here.

This is not a one off. It does this every year. The trick is to treat it like an Agapanthus without the sun. So basically keep it frost free but not too hot through the winter, very pot-bound, well-watered from April-May through Octoberish and feed it. I normally feed it with the rest of my tubs. Standard phostrogen or miracle-gro in the watering once a week and nature very kindly does the rest.

Always pleased to help. I can talk gardening for Britain:D
