IMG_4340.JPG IMG_4339.JPG IMG_4338.JPG Forgive me gardeners for I have sinned,
As on my fence I now have pinned,
fake flowers leaves and trellis too,
But it fills a space and gives a view.
    From the kitchen window,
    We now see,
    what could be real,
    Not quite Ivy
But it's much better than before,
    That old plain fence,
    A real eye-sore.
    So thank you Wilco's
    It's done the job,
For not much more than a couple of bob.

          Brilliant!!! :heehee:

I bought some plastic ivy on a roll last year too ... to blend in with the plastic box balls :roflol:
It gave a sense of privacy which was sadly lacking from the open trellis. It's doing a good job until the climbers I've planted can grow and take hold.

The place we stay at in the Lake District has just put up one of those ivy fences to hide the car park from the bedroom windows - or vice versa :heehee:

We're think of getting one to put at the end of the new paving we've laid for a plant nursery area. It's out of the way, under the willow, and will stop people (especially ourselves) tripping over, or falling off, the end as it stands six inches above the lawn.

 There is room for a pot ... next to your shelving unit ... you could put a Virginia Creeper in a pot and then train it in the direction of the wall/trellis. Should impede any entry/egress nor would it be hampered when the gate opens against it. I bought mine from Morrisons (£1.79) Or even a lovely green and cream ivy? :dunno:

@"M" It's definitely worth a thought. Would hide a rough spot too. I was in Morrisons yesterday and was very disappointed.
                            Cheers, Russ
