    Hi

I'm new to this site and also to gardening.....this is my first real garden as I used to live in Naval married quarters so never really did much in the garden except cut the grass......

No doubt I will have lots of questions to ask you all

    Kate

    Hi Kate
give yourself time to get used to the banter - its often left field.

And don't be afraid to participate - either to ask a question or to lob a grenade or two.

Enjoy the experience. If nothing else, check put the quiz that runs every day - just for fun.

    Welcome to Gardeners Corner Kate,

Navy eh? We have a Submariner member, he used to keep a Date Palm under his hammock.

Nice one Kate, i'm in West Bay at the moment, will be heading back to Hambridge in a bit, loaded up with Beetroot, Sugar Beet, Apples, Sugar & Vinegar, guess what i'm going to be doing:D

Catztail will be quaking in her boots when she sees another West Country member, we're raising an army to take over the rest of them:heehee:

Which bits do you live and work in ?

I'm the nearest member to you so far, Louise is on the North Coast & Strongylodon is on Portland.

You watch 3 dozen members come on now & say, Oi, Zig, what about me:heehee:

Think I can picture the vets, was involved in some work on the church at Yetminster.

Does your wisteria need cutting back & will it involve a tower scaffold ?

Grew a few Beetroot this year,

Crikey....that's a beetroot and half that is!!! :thumb:

My wisteria is VERY over grown.....I moved in to this house in Feb and it doesn't look like anything has been done to it for years.....a little too daunting for me......
I didn't realise just how bad it was until i just took these pics :help:

see my post in the general questions section.....but yes i would say it's going to need scaffolding or a rather large ladder :(

Hi Kate and welcome to GC. You gotta watch out for this lot or they'll change you into a turnip! Zigs, I'm just waiting for you to gather a big enough army to come help me get rid of my lawn.

We'll see what the wisteria lot suggest. I do have a tower scaffold & charge reasonable rates. References Available:dbgrtmb:
