Hi all, just over 2 years ago we planted a Lavender Angustifolia Hidcote hedge alongside the footpath - about 30 plants. I've noticed a number of Lavender seedlings popping up nearby which I'm assuming have come from the hedge. Will they be true Angustifolia Hidcote or will it depend on the presence of other Lavender?

    Thanks for any advice.

I'm not sure, but may be variable and mostly close to the Hidcote that you have.

Capable of crossing, 47 varieties at least. Why not pot some up and grow on, nothing to lose, maybe no 48 in prospect.

Sorry both, my email notification didn't work.

Thanks for your advice. The hedge is looking good (mostly) but it's important to me that flower colour matches exactly so won't take a chance. I can't bring myself to hoe the seedlings so will pot them to see what happens.

    Thanks again.
