      Welcome lemontree.
I can see some interesting discussions ahead between yourself and Tropical Gaz.

You may even get into Vegetables and British plants - unless you are very careful.

                      Hallo lemontree,
have you had a chance to have a wander round the different threads yet? Which ones look interesting to you?
Do you have a garden here in UK?

                        Thank you Jenny,

We are just in the middle of process of buying a house with a good size plot.( Offer accepted ). We were renting for the last 5 years, so we have a garden but we did not invested a lot on it as it was rented.

( we sold our house before moving to the UK ( my wife is british and wanted to move back home to Shropshire, even we had life that you can dream about back home ) first we had no jobs so could not get a mortgage, and than run out of money - but now after few hard years back on the track- I hope).

Anyway, I am fairly much interested in most of the topics here, I suppose I feel related as I was dealing with many sides of horticulture through life. Do not get me wrong It is all very different so need to adapt and get new skills.

I loved gardening and nature since age 5 or so, I brought up near the sea in a very fertile land surrounded with citrus plantations and fields of veg .
I grow lots of veg and pets as a child and than glued to gardening. at age 18 had to say goodbye to my hobbies and do a national service. I missed it a lot nearly 4 years but I was lucky to do the last part working in a kibutz, were I met my wife.

I was lucky to ,manage a large project at young age and decided I want to do it for life time, I graduated in a small faculty- it was fantastic - learning from world wide experts . ( in that tiny faulty , was the first cherry tomato invented and the drip irrigation) . to be able to pay for my studies I started running a a gardening business.

So happened that when graduated I decided to stick to the gardening business ... It was fantastic, we designed and built all style of gardens, even many indoor projects, roof gardens and community projects ...we had a nursery at some points too to breed and grow stock- wich I loved doing. as I even love fishing I kept a fishing rod in the back of my pick up- so at the end of some jobs near the sea I can relax a bit.

Growing food was always nice thing as that is how i started learning from grandpa growing veg in the garden...Fairly long answer - so just need to find the time I guess, Jenny ...
